Torre de São Vicente
More commonly known as the Torre de Belém, this fortification in Lisbon, Portugal, has defended the Tagus River since the 16th century. That being said, pictured is actually only the bastion adjacent to the tower. Notably, we can see the iconic bartizan, a turret style that also appears in colonial fortifications in Puerto Rico, here called garitas.May 14, 2023#photofriday
