What are your thoughts on snakes? Do you think they make good pets? Do you think they’re scary? Do you think they’re helpful/not helpful to the environment?

Snakes can be wonderful pets but you should definitely do your research because there are some species better as pets than others depending on your skill level in snake handling. The "easiest" snakes are small pythons and colubrids like corn snakes. :)
I think snakes are lovely. I am not particularly scared of them but I give rattlesnakes/vipers a lot of space. If bitten my choices are dying or being in hospital bill debt for years
And of course snakes belong in the environment! Some are invasive like burmese pythons in Florida. But overall, snakes are important predators and are often keystone species that hold up food webs :D
