Day 3 Hansel and Gretel
Hansel and Gretel is a pretty popular story but is WAY older than you would think it is before the brothers Grimm tale we all know and Love it was told via oral tradition as early as the 1200 and was first written down in the 1500s and has gone through a myriad of different versions.The most common one is two siblings are abandoned in the woods by their farther because a famine is plaguing the land and their family is too poor to take care of them. They're forced to wander the woods until they find a giant gingerbread house that they start eating only to find out a witch lives there. The witch invites them in pretending to be nice but soon learn that she's just trying to fatten them up to eat them Gretel out smarts the witch and pushes her in the oven saving her brother the siblings take the witches wealth back to their parents and they live happily ever after.Oct 4, 2025
