I’ve had awful artblock for months, and it was pretty bad. I’d get inspo every couple months and not draw for so long after.
Recently, I found a Korean artist on youtube who streams them drawing and their process and style is so incredible, that I got motivated to draw more.

I got really burnt out on drawing OCs and just started doodling things in my yard because doodles of things in your yard are also art. And then I kept doodling things in my yard. And at the park. And in the woods. And suddenly I’m really jazzed about nature art and I’m drawing different non-human OCs (would I have ever come up with the Killdeer Post if I hadn’t fallen for drawing birds? Not at all)
Just draw stuff and don’t worry about what it is, the joy will find you.

It's natural hitting those kind of plateus and there's so many different reasons for "art blocks".
My experience has been that I feel like my art isn't living up to my expectations and in the past I just didn't draw for long periods of time because of it. But I realised the solution was to just keep pushing through those periods, I focus more on studies and heavily referensed art.
Now though, I'm just constantly tired because I'm pregnant so I'm cutting myself some slack there. Need to be economical with the limited amount of energy I possess at the time

Art Block for me has been so heavy lately. I work part-time and have other responsibilities that keep me from expressing myself in a artistic way. Honestly, currently still in art block unfortunately. It usually lasts weeks or months for me. I don't have a cure but I usually FORCE myself to draw. I also tend to have moments of random "MUST CREATE" inspiration which sometimes happens watching anime or reading manga. I quickly draw whatever is in my mind but my art block returns right after I'm done

when i have art block, it's usually having ideas on what to draw but never being satisfied with what how it looks. i usually deal with it by giving myself a break on the first day.. if it persists, i try redrawing an old piece of mine or just try drawing something different

•I’ll just say what I’ve been telling everyone who’s been asking this question on here.
I’m on that side of the argument that states that ‘there is no art block because all imagination is an interpretation/modification of reality’ therefore you can never run out of ideas because there’s always something new to discover in this world! So I recommend doing art studies as you have a heavy reference you can depend on and in return it levels up your skills which will slowly and unconsciously seep into your art and yes taking breaks helps a lot as they give you a whole new perspective!

, personally, they tend to last for several weeks to months because I'm facing with more responsibilities and it's hard to get that creative wagon going. I've noticed that I don't often look forward to draw or have that excitement anymore. However, writing has helped me when I'm in my classes since I can later sketch up the idea in my free time or simply imagine the scenario
. I have tons of docs of ideas and skits for my OCs
. Also, looking back at my old stuff, I feel happy for my improvement and it motivates me to know how my younger self would be amazed of my artwork of today

•My art block tends to happen randomly x,) After days of actively drawing, i suddenly feel like i can't do anything anymore. It feels frustrating to be honest. Especially when you already have inspiration but your hand can't draw anything :") Usually, i just don't do anything for couple of days. I try to force myself, but it makes me more upset instead, so i recommend to take a break from drawing. There is also one tip that helps me out, redrawing manga panels/or redrawing your own drawings. It's useful to me because i have reference to rely on and i can practice like this! Hope this helps
