I made reference sheets for each of my OC’s for this reason so I can keep them consistent. I will obviously update it if I need to change/add anything new. I just say keep drawing them over and over. At one point, I didn’t even need a reference for one of them anymore bc of muscle memory ^^
•
have a few appearance quirks that distinguish them and make sure those look the same! the rest will follow. also it sometimes help to have very specific inspirations so songs/pictures/other characters that you can pull from to get into a specific mood when drawing them
•
I gave each of my ocs a very specific trait that defines them,...so no matter the style they're always recognizable...
•
I used to have the same problem until I made some reference sheets. I’m starting to get better at making them consistent now.
•
Practice drawing them from different angles over and over again until it feels natural
•
•Honestly, sometimes they look a little bit “off” when I change my style slightly. But they’re like still recognisable I hope :’)
I’d say, focus on like the key features of Your OC. For example: my OC elenor has long hair, a kinda absent expression with tired eyes, a long nose and a muscular body.
So I try to keep these elements of his design, which also correspond to his personality very well.
Otherwise I just... let the artgods decide the fate of my OC :’)

•Idk somehow I manage to draw them the same, probably because I wasn't able to do digital art for a long time so I had to redraw them with different haircuts and everything again and again cause I wasn't able to copy-paste on the paper, so that's how now I can catch their features to make them look the sane when I need it
•
•Drawing a model sheet of your oc helps! That way you can reference it when you draw them multiple times~
•
•Reference sheets and turn arounds help a lot, so you know how your oc looks from different angles ^^
•
•I mean, I’m still new and struggle with this, but mainly reference images and muscle memory
•

(mostly) do digital oc art
