Let me talk about Wind Spirits
Wind Spirits can be found all around the continent, often taking the form of different little critters, like dragonflies, hummingbirds, beetles or anything shiny with the ability to fly. They’re fast, childish and love to play. They’re born from storms, when wind reaches high speeds and, unlike forest spirits like Elowen, they can create their bodies fast but are also very fragile. Sometimes they fly so fast that they can’t be seen.

They have total control around wind currents and are in charge of their proper flow all around the continent. The wind spirits living around Bird City have created a close relationship with birds and elves living there, often resulting in long lasting friendships. They create and control wind currents for the birds to fly more efficiently in exchange for little shinny trinkets and sweets, which they love.

They’re very fond of Elowen and often acompany them in their daily activities, offering them company and gossip. Thanks to their control over wind they hear everything going on around them. They love information and thanks to Elowen and Aspen, they’ve become a great way of communicating.

You only need to take a wind spirt with you in your trips. They can use their abilities to send voice messages through great distances, making them reach the desired spirit even at the other side of the continent, who receives the voice through the wind and passes the message to the intended recipient. Aspen and Elowen often use the help of their little friends to communicate even when they’re miles away.

In the drawing you can see Elowen hanging out with Aize, one of the Wind Spirts that lives in the palace gardens and one of Elowen’s best friends. She took the form of a classical fairy, following Elowen’s appearance in an attempt of befriending them (it worked hahaha)

They’re cute, fun and sometimes pranksters. They love to mess with Aspen in silly innocent ways because it makes Elowen laugh. They basically use them as phones to talk to each other so it’s fair hahaha Aspen has his own Wind Spirit friend who often works with him, in the form of a big golden beetle.
