What are some of your favorite tropes?

Character that is shy but loves people being around them is my personal fav which actually goes with on of my characters on a series I’m working on

Redemption arcs.
Those characters that do horrible things becuase they believe its the right thing to do. And then they figure out that they were doing horrible things all along and can never take them back. Having to live with the dread and accept that they deserve punishment. (Better yet “whatever punishment I get. I deserve worse.”)
