Hey there my sweet beans! I just ordered a new tube of watercolour paint to complete my palette, and it got me thinking.

Are there any specific colours that you really love, and any that you just HATE? Either because of the way you feel while looking at them, or, for traditional artists, because they behave a certain way when you use them?

Among the colours I really love: shades of blue, teal and turquoise, warm greens, golden browns, burgundy...!
As for what I hate, I generally dislike shades of purple, unless they lean towards blue. For pinks, it's the opposite! I only like warmer-leaning pinks. As long as they're not too bright.
Purples are even worse when it comes to my watercolour paints. I mostly use them to mix my shadows with, so a colour like manganese violet is incredibly annoying to me because it granulates. This causes infernal textures in my shadows and I just caNNOTT. πŸ˜‚

I have very high hopes for the purple-ish blue I just ordered, though! Would you be interested in seeing swatches of it, someday? Or the rest my paints? I love swatching paints.

I also want to see those swatches! (ㆁωㆁ)
The colors ... There are not really colors that I hate, cause the ones that I don't like for my art, like the dark colors that look dirty (orange, brown, green ...), I find artists who use those color palettes and make wonderful art! As your profile Pic lol~
When I color I like to use pastel, bright or neon colors β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ Outlined in pure black! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

I'd love to see swatches! And I agree about the muddy granulated purples.
