emotional ocs challengethis took me waaay longer than it should have for various reasons but some more of my kids! some of which I don't think I've posted before. rambling about them below in case you're interested.
comfort oc - honestly wasn't really sure what to do with this... I ended up going for oc that I default to drawing when I'm just mindlessly doodling which is probably Airi since I've had him for ages and he's super basic design and easy to draw haha A little hard to say much about him because the plot he's from is pretty convoluted but he's a mercenary aligned with a character trying to overthrow the gods. Pretty blunt and always has resting bitch face but he's good at caring for other people
self insert - Cassie TECHNICALLY counts for this I think because Sharkgirls is semi-autobiographical...ish... (minus the literal fiery apocalypse it's pretty chill) and she's the one who takes the most influence from me but I just. don't really like writing self inserts. I don't think I'm an exciting person so I don't have much interest in writing myself, I'd rather spend the time figuring another character out.
tragic backstory - SO many of them because I love angst. I mostly chose Yu because despite not showing it to most people they've basically spent their entire life trying to make Wei Xiao's as miserable as possible since they blame him entirely for the death of their siblings. They're a whole mess in general.
never draw - Also tons of characters depending what I'm focusing on but Angel's Advocate is one of the plots that I still haven't entirely figured out what to do with beyond basic premise and some character relations. I actually still haven't finalized Ginger's design but I like her a lot! She's a demon of the lust domain who works as a secretary, she's a lot smarter than her position implies but she has very little ambition so she's stuck at the bottom of the company. Really just wants to live her sexy romance novel company dreams but she's surrounded by losers.
longest - Technically I have older ocs but I think Eflasia is the oldest that I still use. Her design and personality and everything is completely unrecognizable from the original Eflasia though. Theseus's oc. From the same story as Airi, she's a princess from an isolated kingdom that ends up getting involved in the war between gods. No real ability when it comes to the social parts of ruling but she's incredibly intelligent, both with negotiations and strategy.
favorite - This changes soooo much but if it's not obvious from how much I doodle him right now it's Adric. Love this absolute disaster idiot. Simultaneously hope one day he gets to be happy or that everything gets much much worse.Feb 28, 2023
