The biggest thing I can think of that will help you see dramatic change is to put an obtuse triangle on your ground plane and use the points to guide where you place each person/subject. Then draw a line from each point in the direction you want the shadows to fall.

•Id say try making the hair a bit simpler, and figuring out where you want the lighting to come from. Looking good though :D
