@Frutella's post on Artfol
Here's a Q (since I'm bored and not having enough time to continue with my current piece):
What's an art style you don't like? (°-° ")
Edit: I forgot to share my opinion, so here's mine. I don't like just outlines of 'realistic' people, creatures and other things (though I'm good with artificial things like aircrafts, cars, machines).
"Modern" arts in general.Apr 7, 2023

Abstract or the one where they do random paint splatters or dots which sell for thousands

It's not a don't like but more of a 'don't vibe with' which is most styles of anime/manga, corporate art, and majority of western adult animations

I don’t really like minimalistic art bc the thought of having like-no face kinda scares me
and realism just makes me like-is that a printer…?

The hiperrealistic photo copy style and the "white girl art" (idk if it has a name), the realistic face without details with overdetailed hair and questionable proportions, often with the same generic "i'm not like the other girls" pose and expression

Except art styles of specific things ("I don't like x piece of media's art style"), I would definitely say iperrealism.
It is surely impressive, but... It's not even art for me, since it just copies a picture without adding anything creative to it.
And maybe that art style were people just trace a picture with minimalistic colors and no face? It's so lazy lol

american comics for me :/ the very bold lineart with the solid black fillings just doesnt do it for me. for black and white i prefer something closer to like manga where there are a variety of tones and details for the eye to wander.

•I don't like undergound comic style (eg. Crumb), where there are a lot of small realistic details and textures but the general proportions of the subjects are cartoony, to me they feel uncomfortable and unaesthetic. Also plain realism that doesn't add anything to the copied picture, and where the materials of the techniques are not visible, it's just boring and uninteresting. And "kitsch" art, that wants to be super evocative and deep but actually is just super simple to make, like blurring all the colours on the canvas so that it looks like a sunset and then adding a black silouhette of two people holding hands: despite me loving minimalist art, this type feels basic and cheap to me, not deep, something that is made to impress easily peopoe with no art knowledge (it's not bad, but I have a bit of art knowledge and I see that they are not imprrssive). And in general artworks with too many colours that don't combine well but are just there "because a lot of colours = art", in my opinion don't look very good. And of course AI generated images have a repulsive "style"

The ones where people just trace pictures of people as lineless,faceless images. They’re just so boring and uninspired(also that 4 Chan doomer artstyle of scraggly anime girls)

It’s like the vis dev team said “how can we make these designs as unappealing as humanly possible”
