That’s what people kinda did with Encanto. Like there’s nothing bad about headcannons like Camilo is genderfluid but please don’t make it all about lgbtq please. That erases the whole message of generational trauma and family and the culture and all that stuff.

I found it bizarre how it went to all that. Like I get it, a need for representation and headcanons, but let keep in mind what the movie is truly about.
