Timed Sketch ChallengeToday's mission was to finish page 1 of the comic and that is now done! Buuuuuut I want to upload that tomorrow so I decided to do something small and quick for today. So this timed sketch challenge it was! Featuring one of my Sci-Fi characters, Aran. :>

Edit: I only now realized it was supposed to be 5 minutes not 6. SCREE. I'm so good with numbers. I Literally Triple-Checked the time limit and still somehow saw 6.
Well, I think the timer was at 1:40 left when I started to colour so... Prolly would have the skin and hair coloured in when it hit 5 min.

6 Minutes was a surprisingly generous amount of time but dang. I 100% forgot that I didn't yet colour in his eyes and mouth until the last seconds. the half-eyebrow is where the timer rang. xD But hey, I got a sketch, lines amd most flat colours done!
2 minutes... Well, yeah. Mostly ok, but he could have used one more line at the bottom of his fauxhawk. :U Maybe this is a shot of Aran like... 10 years after his main story line. So he's be in his 40s.
And in 30 seconds he's left this mortal coil and became a very angery ghost. 8'D
Also a quick intro for Aran's character since I think this is the first time I've shown him here!
He's indeed for a Sci-Fi story. He's a security officer and a pilot on a science space station in a diiistant corner of the known universe. He is aggressive, racist towards aliens, but very skilled in his job. Not many people are willing to work on this middle-of-nowhere space station but to Aran it was a perfect match... since most of the crew are Earthlings.
At the start of the story, the higher-ups the the space station invite a well-known shapeshifter-therapist, Smile, to their ship. But this new case will be different. Not many are willing to travel this far for a job like this and Aran is a stubborn one who refuses to admit he needs help. The higher-ups ask Smile to act to be a housekeeping AI robot (As there is NO way Aran would work with Smile if he knew Smile is an alien.) and to see if he could help Aran with whatever troubles him.
It's probably not the nicest thing to do, but the space station can't afford to force Aran to therapy elsewhere. They can't lose him too...
(I also have Aran in a Pokémon ARPG where Smile is a talking Shuppet. There Smile is an experienced therapy Pokémon who is sent to Aran for company. Without telling Aran Smile is a therapy Pokémon. :> OH. Actually, you can see both Aran and Smile in my banner here on Artfol! I forgot I had that there. xD )Apr 30, 2021
