I was at work thinking about character designs and that..

What are you favourite details or design trope things that you like you give your characters or see on characters in the media and such?

In mostly anime, and my own character designs; I am the BIGGEST sucker for character that always have their eyes closed, and when they do open them, it's just an epic moment.
That or characters with their hair covering their eyes or they're wearing a hat/bandanna that casts a shadow over there eyes. I just love them.May 5, 2021

Dark and mysterious characters. Like villains with a backstory/character development in villains.

I love characters that have sunglasses or the hair is on the way so we can see their eyes, also I love yellow eyes with black hair and red eyes with white hair too, also I like to add beauty marks and also I like twins

and I like characters with a delicate face but a muscular body , I have way too many tropes

i LOVE it when theres symbolism in character design. for example: infinity train book 3 both had characters that has designs with symbolism. grace monroe stopped wearing her mask when she stopped being with the apex. her full self is revealed after that. simon laurent and his ponytail.

i love any kind if edgy character or characters with masks! Lots of piercings or the hair that covers one eye

The shadow over the eyes is my favorite too! Muscular dudes are pretty prominent in my male characters, my favorite personality being the intimidating looking yet tender fellow.

YES I love characters that have a part of then hidden most of the time and then there is a big reveal. I also like when there are clues to their story arc in the design of their clothes and the color choices!
