first step is definitely knowing how you want your story to go. have an idea of how you want your story to end and then start listing possible plot points leading up to it. it definitely helps to have a few pages sketched out days or even weeks ahead of when it’s scheduled to release so you know how to proceed the story (it doesnt have to be super detailed or anything)

Planning is very important! Do you know what story you're making? How long will it be? Generally a good idea is to start with a shorter story. If your first project ends up being 1000+ pages and ten years worth of work you might find yourself discouraged. Better to plan something that you can reasonably finish. It'll feel great once you're finished and you can use everything you learned to make longer projects later!

Remember to keep your art style consistent! Also this is more of a choice thing but in my opinion, for the text you should use the font most of the webtoons, especially the originals, use. Or something similar.

Hi there! I didn't get to go very far in my own comic and abandoned it after the first chapter in the deep
, but there was one thing I learned in the process:
Know what you're going to do next! I thought I could just go with the "flow" of the story without having much planned between the start and end. That resulted in me getting bored of the "flow" and just giving up on the whole thing. Having the full story and knowing what's next is very important!
