Keeping a consistent style means you’re not growing in your art. Having your style change means you’re getting better!
Don't lol. Consistent art isn't better art. If your art changes, it means you're learning and growing.
Use your own artwork as a reference, that helps me.. but! when drawing it’s really important to not box yourself in by thinking you need to have only one specific art style all the time because then it’ll be hard to experiment and get better,, in my experience thinking that way has only gotten me super bad art block and I only see big improvements in my art when I stop thinking about making all my art look the same, cause if they all looked the same how would we get better at making art ya know
having a “consistent” style isnt that important. just draw what you enjoy drawing and a style will emerge from that rather than putting the “style” first in order of importance
Unless you're working for someone, don't keep yourself from experimenting and having fun. Style will develop and change naturally over time, and it's important to try new things to develop that style and to grow as an artist.
I feel like most people saying they’re inconsistent on seem to have a more consistent style than they realize. It’s okay for your style to change and evolve over time as you grow artistically, though, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I think the commercial aspects of social media has placed too much emphasis on consistency; just continue to explore, experiment, and challenge yourself from time to time, you’ll be fine
Same I’m lost as well 🙂🥲🙂
Your style looks the same to me. It just looks like you improve
draw what you like and eventually you’ll just get into the rhyme, even if at first it feels like it contradicts
but also, having an inconsistent style isn’t a bad thing, it shows you can be versatile and are growing as an artist! :)
if you haven’t already, pull up your old art and use it as a style reference when making your new art!
Honestly, it will develop by itself over time! You just need to find the little unique details that you like most. For example, I draw most lips the same way (just colouring the top lip) because that’s how I like it! Little details that you find yourself satisfied with will usually stick and eventually work their way into everything you make :)💖
