I have referenced a lot of art from Rei_17, I learnt how kimono works from them.
They are an amazing artist to study from.
Redrawing the hair everytime was challenging too. In fact, I was lazy so I drew all of the illustrations facing the same direction for ease.
It was fun. I should make more characters sheet. The first one is the hardest, since it requires many decisions.
You can see how I progressively became lazier by the way the crystals are drawn... They became simpler and simpler...
Context:
Leya is a performer. Pokemon contests represent a large part of her life, however she will still engage in pokemon battles, where she will utilise illusion and deceit to create a wonderful spectacle whether she is triumphant or "dramatically" defeated.
She is a psychic in training. Quite a beginner but she'll get there...eventually.
Finally, she has an odd interest in morbid topics, such as ghost stories and it is said she will collect uncanny objects with her frostlass, such as frozen souls, which is said to be source of sustaince of frostlasses (frostlassi??)- see pokedex entry.Dec 30, 2022
