Design Time March 2026
Design-time is a monthly 10-day character design challenge inspired by brush week! Except instead of applying a theme based on a brush to an existing character or OC, your task is to create a whole new OC (or adoptable if you don't want to keep the design) according to a word prompt!Every month I'll put out 10 new prompts for Design-Time! They are numbered, but feel free to
• Only do your favorite prompts
• Choose your own order
• Skip a day or few
• Skip months that don't interest you
• Do every prompt
• Do daily
• Complete past prompts
This is meant to be a laid back but fun design challenge, and gives leeway for those who get burnt out more easily.
You might like this challenge if you:
• Create OCs or adopts obsessively
• Want to make new OCs or adopts frequently
• Want to improve your character design skills
• Want to build a character design portfolio
• Need a cast for a story
• Anything else where you'd need to or want to design characters
The only rules are:
• Design based on the prompts given
• It has to be a completely new character each time, no redesigns or reimagining an existing OC/character
• Have fun with it
