Honestly I've always wondered the same for people like you, who have a manageable cast.. I've got well over 100 characters by now. (Although lots are underdeveloped or are background characters.)
I wish I could just figure out some way to share whatever force is driving me to create them all sometimes. LOL.

Hmm well I mean I have like about 15+ or so ocs but the only reason why I have a lot of them is because they all have different plots and stories yk? I would be doing something randomly and a story would form in my head, and that's when I start making characters to yeet into that world. Usually each story would have 2-5 characters because any more than that makes my brain fry :')))
Maybe u can try coming up different stories first, add the characters, and try to link the different tales together (that is if you'd like a huge single story with a lot of ocs)? That's all the advice I can give so uh hope this helps
