I wonder why exactly is taking a shower such a reboot for body and soul.

Sleeping is unreliable. Maybe you wake up well rested, maybe you don't.

But pour some water on and voilà. A whole new person.

My mom says that you're washing the day off thats why it brings such a relief
I mean, we all came to this world from a mini pool of water. It’s a rebirth simulation xD. But i get what you mean, nothing cleanses e.g. a slight hangover quite like a hot shower.
maybe the soul is like instant ramen noodles; just add water ✨
This interpretation relates to the effect of water on the nervous system and the body in both physical and psychological ways: Physically, when water comes into contact with the body, especially if warm or cold, blood circulation is stimulated, and oxygen flow to the brain increases, resulting in an immediate feeling of refreshment. Neurologically, water stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for relaxation and stress relief, sending "reset" signals to the body. Psychologically, water carries the symbolism of purification in many cultures; it's as if you're washing away burdens and worries with every drop, creating an immediate sense of serenity. Compared to sleep, sleep is a complex process that can be affected by mood, stress, or the quality of sleep itself. However, bathing has an immediate and immediate effect and often succeeds in bringing about the desired mood change. In other words, water has an almost magical ability to instantly "reboot" the body and mind, unlike sleep, which requires ideal conditions to achieve the same result.
For me it’s the hot water + feeling clean. Like I can physically feel the reset
