For my first post here, it will be lore art+story for something I’m working on-
Long ago there was a village. This village was poor and sun down. The creatures that lived there often got sick and died, with most death being children’s. One day the villages blacksmith made a sword so great that it could smite any evil. His plan was to give it to the gods so they may bless this land and cure the creatures in the village, however, before he could, he fell ill. His adopted sister, whose coat was the purest of white, whom loved her brother told him “for the family I love and for the village I call home, I will make the journey for you to the gods” and with a goodbye she took the sword and left for the temple of the gods. She traveled for weeks, unable to find the temple, slowly starving, rationing what little food she had, defending the sword from theives and herself from creatures who wanted her dead. She ended up in a forest, lost and alone. She never gave up hope and kept walking with the sword on her back. It was a cloudy day when she walked and found a clearing with a pond in the middle. She knelt down to drink from the pond and the sword fell in. She quickly dove in after it. She reached the bottom of the sword was too heavy for her to lift, quickly running out of air she tried and tried to lift it out of the water, with no luck. As she drowned she thought about her village. The village she called home. The village that, even though they were given the rough end of life, they were still able to find bits of happiness in the company of each other. She thought of her village and smiled one last time. Through her journey five gods watched her. Aziz , Theodore of love, Spectra, the god of rainbows, Ukiyo, the god of clouds, Anatole, the god of light and anatoles father, Sroyel, the god of the sun. Together they decided that Sunny was worthy and with their powers combined they brought her back to life as the fairy of the pond and blessed her village with wealth, prosperity and health.Sep 17, 2020
