Do you guys have any tips on how to reduce screen time/get rid of social media addiction on your phone?

I noticed I’ve been going on my phone awfully a lot, especially on Twitter and it’s making me feel very unmotivated to do my assignments.

Deinstal the apps. That's what helps me the best and don't save your passwords so that it's harder to log in
what I do is not check social medias until I finished my stuff (unless there's an important message or call ). the only thing I do with it is listen to music, so I do my stuff happily

also do more activities that doesn't require your phone and it's physical

and start training your brain to not reply as soon as possible you get a notification, so in that way you tell your brain you're not going to give it more dopamine from the phone and your anxiety lowers each day a little. it's hard but never impossible

phones, laptops, videogames, tablets, etc, are causing a huge damage that not a lot of people are aware of or don't take it seriously. it's causing extreme anxiety to the point you can't even get up from bed because you need something quick to get this dopamine and stay on the device, you can't even read nor do tedious activities that requires a lot of time to do because you got used to quick stuff and skip them, that's why a lot of people nowadays have more anxiety than before

so, yeah, use your phone only certain hours and for emergencies is for your mental health too
I delete the addicting apps but keep my account open somewhere else like my tablet or my computer. Most of the time, because I don't have those apps somewhere easy to reach like my phones, I forget to log in and check it out. I had the same problem with tiktok and Instagram. Deleted Tiktok completely and I log in to Instagram on my tablet maybe once a day, check out some stories, maybe watch a few cooking videos and quit.
First step is to not have phone notifications. Theyre distracting and its for fake validation. Second is if the app is taking more than 30mins to an hour of your time each day it's time to log off and delete it from your phone. And don't let yourself use finger print or face I'd to unlock it

Now if you have legit online friends you talk to it's okay to still have the app to talk to them. Just limit your time or find alternative chat sites or invite them to do another activity like play a game or share another hobby that you can talk while doing or share with photos. You'll strengthen your relationships that way.
When it comes to sites like Twitter think of how drama and mean comments make you feel or how depressed you are with out the dopamine rush of a comment on your work or post. Doesn't feel good does it? Remind yourself of why you're distancing from it. After a few weeks you'll find you don't need it at all. Try out apps that improve your sense of well being like meditation, book apps etc. Or watch a video while you take a walk. You can also set your phone for screen time on iphone or sleep where it will make your phone black and white and bug you to get off it. It's okay to take breaks while working on assignments, just get away from the scrolling. It's easier to watch an episode of a show or listen to music or a podcast and be able to time your break reasonably.
if its for assignments i use apps like forest, or focus quest/ focus plant. i also have time restrictions on apps i use too much
The way I do is to put a timer on your phone, and not touching It until I do a set thing, It helped me a Lot with mu drawings
