I just found out that "yt people" doesn't mean youtube people, but white people???

Can people stop changing the meaning of abbreviations 😭😭

Wait what? I will still read it as YouTube lol
it’s bc of tiktok’s censorship + because if you pronounce “yt” using its letters it sounds like “white” or “whitey”

i hate it
yt = youtube, change my mind lmao
Wait, what?? I was always confused too, but I thought it meant Youtubers. By why use that abbreviation to indicate a race?
Pretty sure it was because TikTok/ IG started censoring things but I agree it took me a while to figure out what yt people meant
I thought it was me getting old and not speaking English as a native language was the reason of not understanding so many abbreviations hahah
Wdy mean in doesn't mean you too people?!?!
this is why i dislike tone indicators, kinda. a lot of the time if i see "/s" i cant tell if its serious or sarcastic. i know i've had someone call me out on readying one as the other on accident, but seriously often times the tone indicator confuses me more than if one were to leave it out
