In the SpotlightA little insight into the kind of person Maverick used to be. He was never cruel but he dealt with a lot of insecurity and turned to drugs, gambling, occasionally one night stands. His biological father was a basketball coach just like him, but is currently in jail for a confirmed SA allegation. Maverick, however, grew up with his biological mother (his biological parents are divorced) who was sent into psychiatric care when he was ten. She lost custody of him due to being considered “unfit to raising a child” and Maverick was adopted. He hasn’t seen his mother since.
Despite all this, Maverick was able to pull himself out of the dark and get back on his feet. He regained sobriety at 21 and is currently 23. It’s still difficult for him and he’s got a long way to go but he’ll get there :)Jan 10, 2023
