I'm sorry to hear that people think that;; If it's any consolation, usually people without profile pics and something in their bio usually make me a little skeptical personally, but it's only bc there's a lot of bots that sign up for Artfol that never have profile pics or anything personalized about their profile to make a person think they're Not a bot. I'd definitely say even having a placeholder profile pic might help since you already have a bio in place! Just until you find a profile pic you'd actually like to have your profile set to (but in my opinion, I'm more wary of profiles especially that have irl pics for their profile pics due to, again, a lot of bots notoriously using irl photos for their profile pics, so I wouldn't advise using a irl photo). That said, I hope you have a wonderful experience here, bc the people within the community are incredibly sweet; it's just that it can be a little paranoia-inducing if an account doesn't have more personalization to it to show it's a real human running the account, but that isn't your fault since you wouldn't have any way of knowing that beforehand

I mean, you're not wrong. I don't see how people blame you, but I think it is because of bots and scams. I hope you don't get offended for I welcome you to this app.
