Kubo and the Two Strings came out on my birthday, and i got to go see it with my two closest friends at the time. This is one of favorite movies. What makes it even better is Regina Spektor's cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Regina is one of my favorite artists)

I haven't seen the Kubo movie. I want to see the movie. I've read reviews that it's an excellent movie. He's playing the shimensen. The instrument that Japanese taikomochi (male Japanese geisha/geiko/geigi) and geisha/geiko/geigi women play in the ochaya. Beautiful drawing.
