Post-Rock its a genre sorry, it’s instrumental rock but calmer and sad kinda and really interesting. Heard a bit on YouTube and it’s good..

Australian prog rock/metal with a female lead, fantastic!Maybe The Egg by Epik mountain and Gymnopedie no.1 ? They're more like a relaxing song/piece though

COIN is a pretty cool indie band but their music (esp their latest album) is very feel good lol (they do have the occasional depressing song though:))
Bastille is also a very cool band they regularly sing about how the world sucks but most of their songs are bangers

If you want to diversify I have some japanese music in mind :/ Idk if you will like it but since you're more into alt rock and all I guess songs of Omoi or Araki would be good ^^ for depressing songs in japanese I guess all the songs are like that haha but some really hard ones to swallow would be Kikuo (really popular on tiktok but also on ytb)

Try listening to Muse! They’re a very underrated band and I don’t see enough people talking about them.
Their music is very unique imo. May I suggest their songs: Pressure, Hysteria, Starlight, Supermassive Blackhole, and Explorers.
