I think my personal character development is liking Rapunzel's short hair more and more as I age. As a kid I used to be sad Flynn cut her hair because I liked the longer hair so much more (and the fact her hair was cut short bothered me unreasonably lot :'D) but now I absolutely love the short hair and think it looks way better :')Oct 21, 2023

Maybe its cuz we spend like 98 % of the movie with her long golden hair, so when Eugene cuts it, the change is rather jarring.
I really prefer her short hair, even more after cutting my own long hair short. Its like a burden being lifted off your shoulder. Which makes sense since the long hair on Rapunzel is a symbol of her being tied down by Mother Gothel. Eugene cutting it is like setting her free from her capturer.
