Saw on Twitter. When an artist tweet about this app. Mainly for art. Safe for artists to reside.
I saw an artist post about it on Instagram several years ago ;-;
She was cool and it looked really good so I did🤷🏽‍♀️
My brother told me about it and said I should try it out (we both draw and have a lot of mutual interests so hes constantly recommending me stuff! :D)
when it was still on beta, i saw it from someone drawing a human version of artfol, and then a few of my mutuals on ig were trying artfol so i was like "hmm why not?" so here i am.
Searched for art communities… eventually stumbled across it. Really felt the absence of a good community while searching
A few artists I follow on IG mentioned they would try Artfol, I was curious and then time passed by and here I am
An artist talked about it on DA and I gave it a shot... Then I fell for it
It become a thing few years back. Big artists used if for almost 24h before they went back to the platform they said they would leave. 🤷🏼‍♂️
gf told me after she found it by chance scrolling through IG one day, back when it hadn’t released yet
Think I saw an artist on Instagram talk about it… it’s been over two years so idk for sure
Honestly, I don’t totally remember, but I think I saw someone talking about it on Instagram
I saw an add on it in insta I think
Literally just scrolled through the app store, I don't even remember what I was looking for
I was on DeviantArt and there was a lot of drama going on for Ai art and thieves. I'd been on DA for over 10+ years and I'm saddened by how it's all going downhill. Anyway, after reading through a lot of protest comments, I found somebody talking about Artfol and Artgram with their protection and rules and stuff. I did some research on Artfol and most of the people said it was a very nice place. So I joined. 🙂
heard about it on ig somehow. tried it out during beta, stayed.
I used to have an account on an app called Drawcast, and I remember when it was shutting down people were moving to different platforms, which is how I found out about Artfol
I was looking 4 a place 2 share my art that was completely for art. Here I am.
I was disappointed with Instagram cause it's impossible to grow if u're small. So I started searching apps for artists, where people could really see what I do, and here I am, never regretted.
On an Insta post about the best ways for artists to get around the algorithm, someone mentioned this app in the comments section.
I think I heard about it from other artists when I asked for artist platform recommendations. I can't really remember
Followed someone from DA to here. They made a post and I was like “yeah sure. Why not?”
I was disappointed with Instagram, I searched for similar apps to share images but more artist-friendly, I happened to stumble on a few people recommending Artfol.
Ngl I have not a clue. I even forgot I had the app until recently.
i think i saw how the beta was opened on insta but i never figured out how to join until the it was full or something. then i joined the discord so i knew when the full app came out and now ive been here since it released on the appstore :)
Same as the person under me, I ended up quitting Instagram pretty soon after Artfol opened. I regret nothing
Saw a post about it on insta before the app was out. Was real hopeful about it being a new art platform and i’m really liking this place so far 💖
I saw one of artfol's posts on instagram in 2020, they posted art someone made of a humanized artfol and two memes about artfol having features instagram artists dream about, and it got me interested. So I saved it. Some time later I downloaded the app and wasn't disappointed!
Im on another art app called color therapy and a bunch of people from there came over to hear but I only joined when my two besties on CT decided to join.
An Instagram story of an artist I follow when the app was still in beta. I had hoped that people would move from platforms that are unfriendly to artists, or making stupid leadership decisions. That.... Didn't really happen, but here I am. Still
I think it was duchess celestia's 'best social media for artists' vid. I was trying to find a good platform, because all of them were and still are, trash.
Someone on tumblr had it in their bio and I wanted to see what it was about.
Searched for smaller social media communities for artist on the web and fount artfol in an article there
I honestly don’t have a clue anymore >u<"
Heard someone mention it I think?
