Darkened Throne: 2nd year Anniversary
Today marks the day I created Darkened Throne two years ago!!I remember back when I first created the series my original intent was for Viola to be a Princess and she and Serenity were Girlfriends.
But it had been years since they’ve seen each other and Serenity has changed drastically…and it wasn’t pleasing.
Though the second half remained the same, the first half surely changed.
I couldn’t manage the idea of them being partners so I changed them to being rivals and it seemed to have worked in the long run. And ever since then I’ve just revamped the storyline over and over till I had a general idea.
The reason for it being called “Darkened Throne” originated from the idea of a literal throne for a ruler to sit upon and control the peace of the world. But the throne was covered in darkness and was destroyed so the darkness itself was released to the world, corrupting it entirely.
Now the title is actually a metaphor. The “Throne” symbolizes the light of the world that brings peace, order, and tranquility. But with the current events going about that’ll soon change, bringing life to Orion’s omen.
“The throne of the world will be destroyed if darkness doesn’t stop running.”
From that moment on I’ve stayed with that plot line. And I still keep my plans for it to be finished someday, and animated.
But all I want to say is, I’m really proud at the fact that I’ve kept a series alive for this long. And I hope it’ll survive even longer.
