I see ai concluding two ways.
0 regulation, all jobs can be replaced by automation. This means desk jobs, teaching jobs, and of course our jobs. You will have no privacy of self, your likeliness will be found in thousands of “images”. Eventually only jobs available are CEO positions that are only gifted to the rare few or manual labor. Life expectancy will go way down, eventual collapse of society due to lack of financial stability. I seriously cannot stress how dangerous ai is, the possibilities are indeed limitless and far outweigh the positives.
Standard copyright and labor regulation, focused on minimizing job loss and protecting privacy. Ai gens can be used for personal use but NOT commercial use. Ai can assist in a limited fashion to only aid in a job or product but not replace it. No different than the copy right laws today. A bonus would be a mass removel of all images in ai databases that do not fall under Creative Commons, making them illegal if they do not comply.
Either way, global warming is going faster than we even anticipated so i don’t think it’ll matter either way. I’m pissed I will have to miss out certain things. I want to work in concept art, create a world that’s different than this one. I am starting to care less and less about my future, I don’t think I have one. But oddly enough I find that comforting in some way. I’m just going to make my shitty drawings and play good games. I finally got emulators figured out, I’ve been playing silent hill and style savvy. I’ve also gotten into mass effect, I fucking love it so much so far. Nothing mattersJul 28, 2023
