What's something you like about Artfol?Jun 8, 2026

I kind of like that there aren't many users? Compared to, like, instagram. I know that here when no one interacts w/my work it's because this is a small app, and not that I've failed to game the system.
This place is not filled with AI slop.
Numbers are hidden. Makes you less likely to fall into the numbers are the most important thing trap. Though comment numbers are visible. I can focus easy on posts with less comments.
No Ai or not so much like others,
AND cozy Community ✨
I love the community! I love how it's so chill here and we all just appreciate each others art :))
i greatly respect developers passion for this project and how they take this stuff quite seriously, trying to resolve issues when they appear. also, of course, the community ^^ people like you, who are kind to others, who don't mind sharing their stories, their experiences in art and are keeping up the spirit of curiosity and interactions.
I looove the community here 💖 everyone is so sweet and friendly, and I love that we can all bond over a commonality: being artists. It's pretty much the one reason why I haven't left Artfol after all this time. It's not that I think Artfol is bad in any particular way though, it's just that I have too many socials to manage now 😅
In my case:

1- At first, the active and cozy community it had compared to other bigger socials that contain tons of likes, but almost no human interaction beyond that. While Artfol is not as active as it used to back when I first joined here around 2021 or 2022, I still like that plenty of people remain here.
2- I love that we can organize our stuff in folders and also choose what part of our work is visible in our profile and even keep them only visible in specific folders. Cara has that, but if you decide to hide a file, then it will dissapear from the folder you had it.
3- The challenges, although people are not as participating as they used to (in fact, nobody participated in the challenges I myself posted) I like that I get to at least participate myself.
4- I like that, unlike other socials, particularly popular and talented artists are not arrogant like in places like Tumblr or Deviantart. For example, I remember people only befriending artists of certain artistic skills and straight up ignoring anybody who wasn't at their level, some went as far as to not even reply to people that weren't "skilled enough" to be worthy of their attention. I also remember the groups in Da were I was invited to join, yet never post because "my work was at a begginer's level and they just wanted more members to make the group bigger". That doesn't happen here.
4- Despite previous altercations I had with the app itself, I appreciate that the devs are trying their best to keep the site running and it shows.
