Creating is such an important part of the human experience.
Ever since we COULD make, we have. And it's likely we were creating for a long time before the first cave painting were recorded - those are just the ones that survived.
We have evidence some cave paintings are actually cave ANIMATIONS, where animals move as the light from a fire flickers.
We dance not because it serves a purpose, but because it brings us joy. We sing because it brings us joy. We learned that hitting certain rocks in certain places made nice sounds and that brought us so much joy you can see the indents where they were used.
... So why is anyone even attempting to automate the arts? They're what makes us human. What brings us joy.
Why are we not spending all this time and effort to automate all the other bullshit?? The 8 hour work day fucking sucks and we could be using AI to help us reduce the amount of time we work. Instead we're replacing the arts.....
Oh wait, it's because corporations can use this to get around paying highly skilled workers for 30+ hours of work on a single illustration.
I'm just so sick of profit being the only thing that matters
