Natural lighting mainly, but I have a lamp that if I angle just right I can get a decent photo without shadow
•
Everyone else said it before I could — bright lighting conditions! Pay attention to the angle and where you're standing, too.
•
Multiple lightsources can help. I have a window close by for direct light, the light from another window just reaching to my usual spot and if need be a standing lamp I can adjust the placement of.
•
Make a Foto in front of a window with natural light and retouching it with snapseed if needed (whitening, position etc)
•
I crop the shadow if it's there and turn off the lights of my room and flashlight helps me

•
I scan my drawings and paintings but for embroidery and stuff like that I usually take it outside in natural light
