So, I have a question for any poc (long post ahead, but important)
I am currently working on a story that focuses on these characters that are like monsters/mythical creatures? (Think like, Monster High or Monster Prom).
But these characters sort of have two forms, one where they look completely human and one where they look more monsterish.
Now, I have a character who is basically a gorgon (in case you don't know what that is, think Medusa), and the idea for that character was that when he is in his monster form, he basically has snakes on his head, BUT when he is in his human form, those snakes change to dreadlocks.
I wanted to ask if it would be seen as inappropriate or offensive to have the character's dreadlocks switch to snakes and wise versa? I know a lot of cultures don't like snakes, so before I went ahead with this character design, I wanted to make sure it wouldn't offend anyone or give them a wrong ideaMar 15, 2022
