Indigo came to live with her brother temporarily after their parents went away for vacation multiple times and then decided she wanted to be with him permanently since he treated her more kindly.
The family's past is rough for Indigo because she is the product of an affair on the mother's side.
Indigo is a quiet but brave girl who doesn't care enough about social etiquette to let politeness get in the way of her bluntness.
She steers clear of most people but has an affectionate relationship with her brother where she feels comfortable to joke and banter.
