to all digital artists!! can you guys tell me which devices and programs you use? i'm probably gonna start doing digital art in the next few months and since i don't even own a laptop or tablet i really need to think it through before i choose what to buy, and it would help to hear some advice from yall

I use Krita for digital drawing, not only it's free, but also user friendly and has nice community on there. The brush engine also amazing and it has awesome tools that help me drawing, like perspective tool

•I’ve been using autodesk sketchbook pro on an older Microsoft surface (kinda cheapo) but trying to figure out Procreate on iPad since that seems to work for a lot of ppl ^^

•I've used medibang on my laptop with just a lower end Wacom tablet and that setup worked really well it was just bulky with many parts. I've since switched to procreate on my iPad air with the apple pencil. They're both very different so I'm not sure I have a preference but the convenience of the iPad is definitely hard to pass up

I use Medibang Paint Pro (it's free) on my laptop and I draw on a Huion Inspiroy Ink pen tablet. Medibang is also available on phone or tablet or IOS but it's a tad laggy on older phones.

Been using the same 1k dollar cintiq I've had for 7 years with no issues. I also use clip studio paint and have used the whole Adobe creative suite. I used it on a desktop and laptop. If you want to do graphic design,, animation, concept art for games,, run your own business, comics etc. seriously especailly with heavier program use, save up and get yourself an actual computer and home tablet that will last a long time versus a short term investment. It may seem like a lot of money up front but I have easily spent 5k a year for traditional art learning and projects. Digital will save a lot.

•Medibang on PC and I'm trying to learn Krita , which is like Photoshop but it's free . Some even say that the brush engine is better than Photoshop's. I use Huion graphic tablet.

•I use (free) ibis paint on my mom’s old ipad. This is fine, but I would not recommend. I think firealpaca and medibang are both very good programs to use (and free!)

•I have a wacom intuos (doesn't have a screen, has 4 keys to save shortcuts, stylus doesn't need to be charged) and I use Krita! With Krita you can even make animations with sound, if that interests you as well

Clip Studio Paint EX!
It’s pretty expensive to get EX since it’s basically the premium version, but I managed to get it half off on a Spring sale back in March! You can either rent it or just make a big, one time purchase! I’ve heard it be described as a “painting program,” but it’s also designed for comics & animation!

•Procreate on the iPad, and CSP on the computer. Procreate’s brush engine is amazing. And CSP had 3D models you can use as reference!
