So umm...my Apple Pencil won’t charge. I think it broke. And I’ve read on the internet that there is a problem with pencils, that if you leave it for a month uncharged, it won’t work again. BUT I LEFT IT FOR A FEW DAYS WTF. I’m scared. Trying to use lightning-lightning for overnight. I hope it works. Please work. I’m scared. Help.May 1, 2021

I also had a similar pen suddenly not working. The tablet didn’t even recognize that it was attached for charging.
I tried a few different things.
- unscrewing and rescrewing the tip
- rapping it on my hand (since it fell down once a few days prior)
- wiping it down to make sure there is nothing between it and the magnet it clicks onto
- putting it in the charging position taking it off and putting it back there again so many times. Hoping it would show me the "charging 0%" pop-up ^-^"
- deinstalling/making the tablet forget the pen and then putting it back into the charging position
In the end I’m not sure what exactly worked. I think the last one did the trick but not sure. Since it didn’t immediately work. (Soon after though after putting it in the charging position a few times)
I really hope your pencil will soon work again. I still remember how panicked I was ^-^"
