Steel Ball Run will continue this fall on a weekly schedule. This was all part of the plan and reflects the wishes of the production committee.
No word as to how many episodes this season will actually be (and no, I don't trust leakers), but it'll be split-cour. So this set of episodes will air in the fall anime season, take a break during the winter, and then resume in the spring. At least this is what I think is going on here.
