What kind of brush do you use when you're varnishing a painting? I kind of struggle with that because I don't want to use the brushes I use for painting. I used to use a rubber brush. That didn't spread the varnish evenly.
Now, I usually use my disposable gloves to spread it out. However I don't think that's a good solution.

I've never varnished a painting before, but I'd set a wide brush aside just for using it for varnish and try to clean that as well as possible after? Just guessing though
