Barber shop
This is a character I’ve drawn before. Since then Ive wanted to draw him again in a finished illustration doing his craft (hes a barber.)I could list a bunch of mistakes and improvements if I was to start over but I still like it. It also took longer than I had hoped (7hrs 52min) spread over a few days.
I might rename him because I feel like I try to pick everyday names but sometimes I pick names that are so maybe too ‘everyday’ to the point that they might not stick out of a sea of better characters that came before with the same name already.

AND THE BACKGROUND How about Henley? It just came to mind because Henley is the middle name of baseball legend Rickey Henderson, my favorite player when I was growing up. Rickey would sometimes cut and style some teammates' hair,.and aspired to be a barber when his playing days were over. I have no idea if he ever followed through with that, but if he did, it sure wasn't because he needed the money 
. This guy looks like he genuinely enjoys what he does, and is probably a beloved fixture in his neighborhood.
