Don’t use any gray scale when it comes to shading and lighting. Instead use colors. It’ll look softer and more appealing. And complementary colors are good. Yellow light? Blue or an indigo shading. It helps creates contrast.

Take my beginner-ish critique with a pinch of salt.
If the laptop is on, there should be a weaker light on the other side of the pillow, since there's a secondary light source.
You can also make the shadows darker farther away from the window like a gradient.
Honestly the drawing looks good. It looks like it's a particular style. If you're looking to imitate a certain style, looking for an artist who has those elements in their work and learning from them helps.
