Realize that if the common denominator across platforms is your lack of success, you're the problem with your sales. There are many reasons why you could be failing at your goal of selling art online. One common reason is that you don't market yourself well. Maybe you have few eyes on your work. Maybe you don't make people aware of your product. Maybe you're not professional, charming, or reliable with your customers. Maybe you don't present your prices in a neat, concise, and attractive way. Maybe your customer service skills are not enticing enough to make your customers into repeat customers. Maybe your wait times are too long. Maybe your prices make no sense. Maybe your product is not worth enough to people to be willing to spend money on it. Maybe you are offering your product/skill to the people who do not need that product. Maybe there's someone better than you who sells their work for the same price.
When you are trying to get people to fork their hard-earned money over to you on a consistent and high-quality basis, you need to be a cut above the crowd. I'm not saying you have to be the most technically skilled, but you do have to be not only extremely self-aware but also aware of what people want. Look around. Do you buy commissions from every other artist on here? Why is it that you are willing to buy art from some people but not others? And what makes you want to buy something?
There is a lot that goes into successful commissions. It's not easy and you won't get a steady stream of income just by throwing a commission sheet up on your page
