Galaxy Pichu!I saw that @angrymikko on Instagram has created an art challenge, to create a piece of art from your comfort zone. Something we enjoy doing now, not what we are learning to do. I knew immediately that meant some form of galaxy art. And my favourite kind? Galaxy Pokémon of course!!

I’ve been drawing Pokémon since I was a kid. I love Pokémon, and drawing them. I also love doing galaxy art. So naturally, I have really loved blending the two.
The good old cloud brush in the elements brushes on Procreate is the best for this style. I’ve tried a lot of others, but this one is what works for me.
My favourite part when doing any galaxy piece is when I do the stars, and suddenly it all just comes together and looks awesome! They take us from random clouds to “ok we’re in space now.”
The reference was one of my Pokémon Snap photos. I tweaked it a bit because I wanted it to be happy. But it’s still so darn cute!
