Hey everyone! This is my prompt list for this year’s MerMay challenge next month. MerMay is my favorite time of year. But to be honest, I’ve been feeling pretty ‘blue’ lately. There’s been a lot of losses in my family recently, and I’ve just been feeling down. I thought I would create more of a sad MerMay prompt list to reflect how I feel. It’s okay to feel sad sometimes, and I think creating art is a therapeutic way of expressing our emotions. I hope you join along with me and create some mermaids for Blue Mermay!

Each week of May, use these 5 prompts to create/draw a mermaid/merman/sea creature and post it here on instagram. Each prompt is a different shade of BLUE, use it as an inspirational color palette to create what you feel!.
