It was supposed to be a story like any other story from the undertale universe but at that time one important event happened .underverse because that was the name it was called, the uniwesum was initially connected by the combination of two worlds firetale and x-tale. However, x-tale was destroyed.
the story of this au is quite sad. the mysterious and distant world in which the Frisk had to cross one of its paths as always was erased and destroyed. the only surviving persona is cross! sans and cross! chara, who are forced to act together. x-tale is a story about moving au among other things, cross wants to tag them with his x, take some of their code and rebuild his own world.
known as cross, or also c. initially trained with his brother papyrus to become part of the king's guard. he was supposed to guard the frisk after it broke the barrier and freed all the monsters. In order to prevent a genocidal path and stop further resets, Cross attacked the chara hidden in the heart of the child. he took half of her soul and placed it in his body, hoping that this would prevent further resets and save him from possible death at the hands of the chara. unlike classic sansa, he was never lazy. is an energetic and joyful character. importantly - is aware of the existence of the primordial timeline. when his world was shattered and wiped out and his soul shattered by errora, Cross lived only thanks to the determination of a half-stolen soul. initially he fought with her for dominance, which changed his appearance. after having grabbed a soul fragment of a classic sans, however, he won the fight. chara is with him in the form of a ghost giving him various advice.
cross is not able to travel to other au's by itself if it does not know their code. one can only get it by tracking those sans who can move through dimensions on their own (ink, error, dream etc). when he learns about the code of the universe, he can move there whenever he wants and as often as he wants, he is able to delete elements and take part of the code to create his own world. only other people and all versions of gaster are able to perceive charity.
the war lasted a long time and brought a lot of losses x-tale was finally not added to that many sans lost their homes when their universe was deviated by cross with errora at this point firetale gaster decided to act. broke the game codes and allowed any homeless sans he could live in his world. by this act the firetale became the advice of the multiverse and the samses gained the ability to move between lands. Bad guy who was responsible for the destruction of so many lands were deprived of half of their powers which firetale gaster keeps in his laboratory to which only he and his daughter who can enter in the future he is to be his successor.
20 years have passed since those events. It may seem that the world is normal, but one thing remains unfinished. It is the path that was not chosen by a man who went to the underground.
