My queenI'm trying to find a way to draw a bit quicker as I have way toooo many ideas in my head that I want to share. One big part of it is finding a simpler 'style' that I can get done quickly instead of full renders.
So first attempt. Sketch into lineart with some flat coloring. I'll try and render some simple shadows into this tomorrow and see how that goes.
How do you all go with finding a style that is like sketchy and quick?,Feb 4, 2021
This is beautiful! The outfit is my favourite thing, though the overall design is just amazing. To answer your question, I'm more into a refined style at the moment when it comes to my art, but before I used to (and kinda still do): sketch a whole lot, then erase a whole lot, all with quick strokes, no time to think much about it. Then clean up a little wherever there might be odd anatomy or other. Then use flat colouring, add a light source and paint shadows. Then look for more deformities. Then paint on whatever remains, like shading. Multiply is a great for filter function for simpler styles. I have found that this way makes the process go quickly and come out with a fine result.
Hands down, a sexy drawing The wrinkles and the colors are so pleasing I guess it's not really much for a critique idk The mouth maybe the upper lip is a bit small that you can lift it up a bit But it looks good how it is (chefs kiss)
This peice looks great!! Personally what I would do (mostly when I'm doodling), I just let the sketch go crazy and then with lineart, I sorta make it messy too; yet still have it look clear and nice. Then I just use flat colours, and finish off with flat shading. And again, this piece is amazing!! Especially the outfit!!
