Stone remnants of a past lifeVile was a respected deity when civilization started forming. His body- made of cells that didn't deteriorate and lose function overtime, regenerating and morphing into various types of life forms one after the other, the new skin hoping to have a better chance of surviving than the old.
When he changed into a youthful boy, reaching the 'peak' of a human body, he forgot to age- forgot that he was supposed to be blending in with the rest. The others saw him as a god by the time they noticed the lack of change in his appearance, when they realized that he could never die of old age- therefore worshiped him. They prayed for a longer life and 'eternal' youth, Vile knew it was only possible for him, not for the others- yet he played along and graced them with his blessings, seeing as their worship brought him food, shelter and care- all the necessities for survival.May 29, 2026
