Vest update #1

When I asked if a battle vest counted as a crafts project and if I could post it here no one replied, so I'm just gonna take that as a "sure, go ahead". I got more art coming soon, but for now take this instead.

Added my first patch on Wednesday, 1st of October 2025.

I have sewn before a handful of times but it was some time ago and I've never done anything like this. Plus, when I was doing it last time it was part of a class and I had a teacher there to walk me through it step by step. This time I just had a youtube tutorial that was moving a bit faster than I would have liked.

I wasn't sure about the red thread, I know black would have been the safer option but like, it's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I'm glad I went for red, I think it looks nice.

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is pretty much tied with Sabotage for my favorite Black Sabbath album. I absolutely love Spiral Architect, it's one of those songs that just make me feel connected to the universe in a certain way, like I'm close to having some sort of spiritual awakening but I'm not quite there yet. It's just my soul reaching out. That sounds kind of dumb but it's how I feel.

Since there's not much to see on the rest of the vest yet, I decided to include a picture of all the pins I got on it too. The selection and placement will probably change though, I'm not happy with it yet. And, of course, there will be many more added to it.

For the back patch I wanted the cover of Stained Class by Judas Priest. The only shops I found selling anything like it looked a bit suspicious so I will try to get it custom made from an etsy shop that seemed trustworthy. I'm pretty stuck on it being Stained Class, it's my favourite album of theirs and it means a lot to me.

Painkiller would have been my second choice because the title track is what got me into Judas Priest in the first place. I listened to Painkiller three times and I hated it every time, but after the third time it got stuck in my head and the fourth time I started to love it. It's a different type of attachment to a song if you had to go through a whole enemies to lovers arc with it.

I would love to ramble about music some more but Artfol seems to be a bit overwhelmed with all the text rn so I guess that's my sign to save the rest for the next update, whenever that will be.Oct 3, 2025
