#JuneForJesus

Isaiah 43:19 "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." ——— Hello everyone! I ask that you please hear what I have to say. It's almost June! My birthday month! But lately people have made June all about pride, and it makes me kinda sad. So let's start something new in the Christian and Jesus loving community! My brother's and sisters hear me out. #JuneForJesus! **What's June for Jesus?** It's exactly what it sounds like! Making June a month to focus on Jesus! The man who suffered unimaginable pain for our sins, so that we could be forgiven just by asking him and believing **What is the goal?** To glorify and show your love for Jesus! Maybe even bring others to him *#What do I do?** Anything! You can make it a daily verse challenge if you'd like, or just post doodles and art of personal testimonies, your love for Jesus, or just art with a bible verse pasted to it! Whatever you feel would glorify Jesus at your own pace **Do I have to be a Christian or believe to join?** Nope! You can be Catholic or even an Atheist to join in, as long as you respect each other's beliefs and Do Not make something mocking Jesus **Are there any rules?** Not really? This is my first time doing something like this so it's pretty loose and unmoderated. But I ask that whatever you do, do it to glorify God or show some kind of appreciation to him. He created us and loves us, even when it's hard to believe. **Is there a time limit?** Nope! *Technically* It ends at the end of June, but that doesn't mean you have to stop! You could even host a Jesus for July! If you have any other questions or just wanna talk about Jesus, don't be afraid to leave a comment! Feel free to share personal testimonies! I will not tolerate any hate comments or anything disrespectful. Honest questions are always allowed. Please remember the golden rule when replying to other people. ——— Whether you actually read the whole thing or not, whatever your belief is..Know that you are always loved and cherished, even when you feel alone, there is always someone out there who is thinking about you <3

Leviticus For MenA man would split the Red Sea, scale Mt. Sinai, and cross the desert to find that perfect scent. Because your lady isn't going to be bound by the law of attraction if you've been plagued with some discount, unholy fragrance. But never fear: Leviticus is here.

Leviticus For Men. Anything else would just be unclean.

A few years ago, I heard a podcaster that I enjoy listening to say that a large percentage of people in this day and age would have no idea if Leviticus was a book of the Bible or an expensive men's cologne. And so I've been sitting on that idea ever since. And while this allows me to have some fun, because humor is one of my favorite tools in my toolbox, I wanted to accomplish two more important things.

First, I wanted to use it as an opportunity for thanks and praise. I didn't know until a couple days ago what I wanted to draw next, and this came to me from a comment thread with the amazing @Pupwin who is responsible for the #JuneForJesus challenge. While I've known for almost all my life that Leviticus was the third book of Moses, I've spent a long time being less than diligent in studying the scriptures. And even to this day, a lot of what is in Leviticus makes my head spin. The intricacy and complexity of the Law illustrates more than I like to admit just how much our sinful nature separates us from the Holiness of God. That's why I'm so grateful for the infinite power of the sacrifice that Jesus made when He gave Himself freely, and allowed His blood to be shed on our behalf. No one is worthy of that gift, least of all me. But that's the nature of a gift: It's not earned, it's given freely. Thank you, Lord, for your salvation offered freely to any who would accept.

Lastly, if anyone is still reading (and I hope you are), I put some serious effort into this, even though there's a significant element of humor to it. It was a bit complicated, from trying to create the texture of wood for the cap, to attempting to render the appearance of glass and its refractive properties, to using several metallic and non-metallic shades of purple trying to get the color of the liquid to what I was seeing in my mind. I've spent a lot of time being down on myself for the limits of my ability, to the point that I all but gave up drawing for a number of years. While I can certainly draw better than the average person, I'm well aware that I'm nowhere near the top echelon of talent. And I hope it doesn't sound arrogant to say, but it can be tough to love to do something and to put a lot of effort into it and to come to the realization that you're at or near the ceiling of your ability, and to know that your ceiling isn't all that high compared to many. Now I've told many people on ArtFol that we shouldn't be in competition with one another, and that comparison is the thief of joy. I believe that, but for a long time I didn't, and I felt like there wasn't a lot of joy to be found in art if I was always gonna be some mid-level hack. All these things I say to my shame. Because there is a lot of joy to be found in art. The ultimate artist is the One who placed every beautiful creature in the wild, made every tree and flower to grow, and placed every planet, star, and galaxy in the sky. And He made you - His most treasured creation - in His image. Be creative with what you were given. Whatever level of talent you were given wasn't given to you so you could agonize over whether you're better or worse than the next person, but rather to create, to be joyful in creating, and to give praise and honor to the One who gave those abilities to you. Thank you, Lord for what I've been given. May it bring glory to you.

This looks amazing!! And that’s beautifully said, something that I myself needed to read, with what I recently been struggling with, thank you!
The wood and the glass texture look amazing!!! I also love the seal very much! I don't think you are mediocre at all. You have a lot of talent and your coloring skills are amazing! I love the way you shade and blend colors. It's so smooth and pleasant, it's quite hard to achieve that without looking saturated. But this one is just right and feels like real cologne. 💜💜💜
very nice drawing and very nice message too: )
The wood texture and glass looks so good!!
Truly Beautiful QwQ both the art and the writing

Even if you feel you've 'hit the ceiling" of your capabilities, keep doing what you love! Because i a few years you'll look back, and realize just how much you've improved since! And it may hit you like a truck lol! You learn something new every day, we as humans never stop learning. So keep doing what you love, try new things, new styles! Cuz even if you suck at it, if you truly love doing it you will slowly improve. God gave you this wonderful gift like he's given me and every other artist. The only limit is your thoughts and negativity. So you can do it! I believe in you Artfol Grandpa! X3
Oh my gosh that is absolutely amazing!!!! The wood and glass look so real!!! :O
